Hi, I’m Olivia
I’m a Registered Social Worker (RSW, MSW) offering counselling services to people living in BC. I have a passion for walking alongside people experiencing grief and loss, chronic illness, and chronic pain.
Within the experience of grief and loss, I have a special focus on caring for grief and loss in the reproductive and perinatal journey: miscarriage, pregnancy loss, stillbirth, termination for any reasons, including maternal/fetal health/anomalies, abortion care, infertility, for example.
It has been a great privilege and deeply meaningful to me to have the opportunity to support people experiencing terminal illness and preparing for the human experiences of dying and death.
In any space where we come face to face with cycles of life and what it means to be human, it’s normal to also experience mixed emotions. Old wounds can come up in grief, especially in our inner and interpersonal lives.—Perhaps feelings of depression, anxiety, trauma, fear of loss, lack of self-esteem or confidence, attachment challenges, and identity exploration. But perhaps also moments of understanding, healing, beauty, meaning, movement, connection, wonder, and even joy.
I bring to this work my own multicultural background, intersecting identities, and lived experiences. I live and work in Vancouver, BC, the lands of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), Squamish (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw), and Tsleil-Waututh (səlilwətaɬ) Nations.
I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to connect with you, to learn and work together, to nourish what is deeply human in us, to turn toward the light.
